BDS reports closure of more than 40 ready mixed concrete in last 12 months

According to the latest BDS report this brings the total of plants shut since 2008 to more than 100. Just over 1,000 concrete plants remain. This has been one of the industry's reaction to a decline in volumes of 45 per cent since the recession started.
