Comment: Industry needs clearer picture of waste strategy from incoming administration

All too often planning is identified as the bete noire of the waste and resource management industry. When proposals for facilities can take years of time, effort and money to get approved; planning officers' recommendations can be overturned and there is often duplication between planning and permitting controls, it is clear that improvements are needed.
