Comment: Planning reforms open up opportunity for all sides to benefit from quarrying

These are interesting times. We are entering a new era for planning with no top-down policy diktat, no central targets and no regional strategies. The current local development framework system for minerals is not functioning. This is not perhaps the most favourable outlook for planning new quarries.
