Extraction of coal mine methane

A borehole would be drilled to a depth of 840m into the disused coal workings using a 34m high drilling rig. Drilling would take place 24 hours a day for a period of between three and four weeks. Once the site was operational extraction pumps would deliver the gas through filters and then via a pipeline directly to generator engines.
