Extraction of gravel

Aberdeenshire Council has granted permission for extraction of around 1,000m3 of gravel per year for five years. The key issues in determining the application were the suitability of the site for gravel extraction, including the visual impact: vehicular access; impacts on amenity; impact on public access; impact on archaeology and effects on the river Dee.
