Further sand and gravel extraction approved at Colchester quarry

Essex County Council has approved an application to extract 295,000 tonnes of sand and gravel from an extension to Stanway quarry, Colchester, and to implement a comprehensive restoration scheme comprising agricultural land woodland, grassland and lakes.
