Harm to green belt leads to refusal of EfW proposal in Surrey

A proposal to build a small-scale biomass plant for generating 2.5 megawatts of electricity per hour using 30,000 tonnes of imported waste wood has been refused. Surrey County Council judged it to be an inappropriate development in the green belt.
