Impact on horse racing industry defeats asphalt production plant

In dismissing an appeal involving the siting of an asphalt production plant in an existing quarry in Yorkshire, an inspector concluded that it would, among other things, harm neighbouring racehorse training businesses and constitute a real economic threat to the local economy.
