Infrastructure - Commission revamp to return power to centre

The government has confirmed plans for a major infrastructure planning unit to consider large-scale infrastructure projects. The announcement follows the coalition government's decision to scrap the Infrastructure Planning Committee (IPC), which will have its functions transferred to the Planning Inspectorate.
