Lack of supply leads to housing in outstanding landscape

The secretary of state accepted his inspector's recommendation and granted planning permission for an outline scheme of up to 250 dwellings on open fields on the edge of a Gloucestershire market town due to a significant shortfall in housing land supply. A scheme for 39 dwellings considered alongside that proposal was also granted permission for similar reasons.
