New Barite mine approved to support North Sea oil industry

Perth and Kinross Council has approved plans to develop a Barite mine at Duntanlich, 7.5 kilometres west of Pitlochry and 7km north of Aberfeldy in an area of upland heath and moorland managed for leisure purposes.
