Plans to open a new metallurgical coal mine in Cumbria supported

Cumbria County Council has approved amendments to West Cumbria Mining's plans to develop a coal mine comprising two underground drifts and associated surface development, including a new access and coal loading facility at a coastal site near Whitehaven.
