Precedent creation Q & A DCP Section 4.18

This section is concerned with establishing how far it is material to the determination of a planning application that a precedent might be set for the grant of further developments, which may cumulatively erode planning principles or policies. The precedent effect of planning permissions already granted is considered separately at (6.35) and (6.36), and the precedent of existing uses at (4.14).
