Rare earth refinery approved in principle

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has resolved to approve a proposal for a processing facility producing 4,500 tonnes a year of rare earth oxides for use within the renewables industry as well as storage of hazardous substances of Hydrochloric acid, Sodium hydroxide and Oxalic acid in tanks.
