Rethinking IT retirement: going beyond recycling

According to HP research, going 'green' is top-of-mind for enterprises. Some 67% of surveyed companies are implementing environmental programs, 55% give preferred status to vendors who address environmental issues, and 30% of infrastructure purchasing decisions are based on environmental factors. But are they taking the right approach to discarding unwanted technology?
