Revised sand and gravel proposal refused due to impact on River Clyde

An application for extraction of 3.3Mt of sand and gravel has been refused by South Lanarkshire Council because the landbank was already adequate and the benefits of the proposal did not outweigh the adverse impacts on the environment.
