Safety - Tory scheme to reduce red tape wins welcome

The British Aggregates Association (BAA) has welcomed proposals by the Conservative Party to cut the burden of health and safety red tape on the industry. The proposals are based on "earned autonomy" schemes in the USA, which have replaced government regulation with industry audits.
