Scotland aims for tougher waste rules

New legislation that would make separate waste collections compulsory, prevent businesses throwing food waste down the drain, restrict the type of waste that can be incinerated and prevent landfill operators from accepting either separated or biodegradable waste has been laid before the Scottish Parliament.
