Slate for grass agreed for holiday let roofs but solar panels problematic

In partially allowing an appeal involving seven holiday lodges in the Nidderdale AONB in north Yorkshire, an inspector concluded that replacing grass roofs with slate would maintain the character of the area. However, installing solar panels on one of the properties was unacceptable.
