Social and cultural matters Q & A DCP Section 4.12

This section considers the extent to which matters relating to the social structure of communities are material considerations in the making of decisions on planning applications. Such matters normally emerge in the control of housing. Also covered here are questions of human rights, morals, religion, culture and race, as such questions may arise from a variety of development proposals. A further matter discussed is the extent to which the development control system should seek to reduce the possibility of criminal behaviour.
