Ten-year extension granted for Scottish quarry

East Ayrshire Council has approved the continuation of mineral extraction at Tincornhill quarry in south-west Scotland for a further 10 years until September 2032, together with a revised restoration scheme. The revised restoration plans proposed progressive restoration to acid grassland, wet meadow grassland, ephemeral ponds, wet woodland and native woodland.
