Waste-to-energy plant

The secretary of state, following recovery of an appeal involving a waste-to-energy plant in Cornwall, decided that the likely impact on residents was outweighed by the substantial benefits. The scheme involved the erection of a plant capable of dealing with up to 240,000tpa, with an ability to burn up to 30 tonnes per hour.
